Coastal Solar and Electric LLC was founded in 2023 by Steven Estelle and Whitley Forman, combining over 30 years of electrical construction and management expertise. As a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor operating across multiple states, CSE provides turnkey electrical solutions for residential, commercial, and solar generator projects. Whitley Forman
Partner and Technical Director
Whitley started in the solar power world around 2008 and quickly gravitated towards the technical aspects of the business while still acting as a crew leader and installation technician. Utilizing a background in AutoCAD, he began designing PV systems from the ground up as early as 2009 and has since stayed on top of the cutting-edge PV technology and has grown his knowledge base to include grid level modelling, protection coordination and complete project site analysis for multiple utility scale PV generators. Whitley has received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from The College of New Jersey and also holds a Master Electrical Contractors License in NJ and Illinois. Whitley has been an advocate for industry safety not only for installation professional but for firefighters as well through knowledge-based training for PV System fire response.

A true veteran of the solar industry emanating from NJ in the early 2000’s, Steven has seen the evolution of solar from the ground up through a hands on approach. Starting with custom built residential systems and ascending to greater technical and management roles over the last two decades. Steven has proven to be an adaptable leader on any project or task at hand time and again. Formerly found regularly with every tool of the trade, he is just as comfortable with a laptop troubleshooting communications issues as he is dealing with the complex balance of permitting, interconnection, personnel and business management to deliver results either in construction or maintenance with a smile.
